Pursuit Flagship Dealer · 2025 & 2026

What Flagship actually means

Pursuit's highest recognition, and the only dealer award we know of that has to be won again every single year. Here is what it takes, and — more to the point — what it changes for the person who owns the boat.

Pursuit Flagship Dealer

The short answer

Flagship Dealer is the highest recognition Pursuit Boats gives a dealership — in the builder's own words, a “best of the best” status for the dealers who have put the money into facilities and the time into training to look after a Pursuit to the standard it was built to. It is not awarded on how many boats you sell. It is awarded on what your customers say about you afterwards, on having certified technicians for five separate systems on your own staff, and on sending people to the factory every year to keep them current. And it is reviewed annually: a dealer who slips is dropped until they qualify again.

The bar

What a dealer has to clear

Three tests, all of them at the same time. Missing any one of them ends it.

What the owners say

Pursuit surveys every owner directly — not the dealer, the owner — twice. Once just after the boat is delivered, and again twelve months in, when the shine has worn off and you know whether anybody picks up the phone.

  • 94% minimum on the delivery survey
  • 92% minimum a year into ownership

Rolling scores, so one good quarter cannot carry a bad year. There is exactly one allowance: a dealer may discount a single survey a year, because there is always one customer nobody can satisfy.

Certified on five systems

Not one certification. A qualified technician for every system that can strand a boat, at every location the dealer operates:

  • Yamaha — the engines
  • Fischer Panda — the generator
  • Seakeeper — the gyro stabilizer
  • HVAC — the air conditioning
  • Garmin — the electronics

This is the requirement that quietly weeds people out. Plenty of dealerships can service an outboard. Far fewer can open a Seakeeper or commission a generator without calling somebody in.

Back to the factory, every year

Certifications go stale. Pursuit builds a different boat every year, so the program makes the training a standing obligation rather than a one-off:

  • Pursuit Technician school annual attendance
  • The Service Manager Experience

It means the person working on your 2026 boat has been in front of a 2026 boat at the factory, with the people who designed it, inside the last twelve months.

Why it is worth something

It expires

Most dealer awards are won once and hung on the wall for a decade. Flagship is reviewed on the first of July, every year, for the model year that follows.

A dealer who has fallen below the standard is dropped from the program until they qualify again — and if they have not done it by December, they cannot reapply until the next model year begins. There is no grandfathering and no credit for a good year three years ago. A dealer displaying Flagship for the current model year is telling you how the place is running now.

That is also why it is a fair thing for a customer to lean on. It is not our claim about ourselves. It is the builder's measurement of us, taken from our own customers, and repeated annually whether we like the answer or not.

The part that matters

What it changes for you

A badge is only worth something if it shows up in how you get treated. Here is where this one does.

Your boat does not get farmed out

The generator, the Seakeeper, the air conditioning and the electronics are all covered by somebody certified in them, here. That is the difference between a repair booked for Tuesday and a repair that waits on a third party's calendar, and it is the single most common reason a boat sits.

Warranty work starts sooner

A Flagship dealer carries a materially higher warranty pre-approval limit — meaning we can authorise the repair on our own signature rather than stopping to get the factory's agreement first. In practice that is most warranty jobs beginning the day we find the fault rather than the day somebody answers an email.

We can come to the boat

Warranty travel time is reimbursed under the program, which is what makes mobile warranty work possible at all. If your Pursuit is in a slip an hour away and the fault is a warranty fault, that is our problem to drive to, not yours to trailer in.

Common questions

Straight answers

Is Flagship just a sales award?

No, and it is worth being clear about that because most manufacturer awards are. There is no volume requirement in it. Every test in the program is about service: what your customers say a year after they bought, whether your technicians are certified, and whether they have been back to the factory lately.

Who fills in the surveys it is scored on?

Owners, surveyed by Pursuit, not by us. We do not see them before Pursuit does and we cannot pick who gets one. That is the whole reason the number means anything.

Can a dealer lose it?

Yes. Reviewed every 1 July for the following model year, dropped if the standard is not being met, and locked out until the next model year if it is not fixed by December. A Flagship badge for the current model year is a statement about right now.

Does it apply to service, or only to boats you sold?

The certifications and the training are the dealership's, so they apply to whatever comes through the door. A Pursuit bought elsewhere gets the same technicians. The warranty terms are Pursuit's and follow the boat, not the receipt.

What about the other brands you carry?

Same shop, same technicians. Cobia's equivalent measure is its CSI score, which we have taken the top of in 2024 and 2026, and the Yamaha side is Service Pro Elite — graded on the training the technicians hold. Different programs, all measuring the same thing.

Where can I check this?

Ask Pursuit. They run the program, they publish who is in it, and they will tell you plainly. pursuitboats.com
