Is the D 266 the right size?
At 27 ft 4 in overall with an 8 ft 9 in beam and a 21-degree deadrise, the D 266 sits in the middle of Pursuit's dual console line: big enough to take a family out the inlet on a decent day, small enough that one person can run it, dock it and wash it down. It weighs about 6,800 lbs dry and carries 139 gallons of fuel for the twin Yamaha F200s it is rated for, 400 hp in all.
The dual console layout is why families choose it. The walk-through windshield opens the bow to seating, there is a head with a shower, the seats convert between lounging and fishing, and the cockpit still takes rods and a bait cooler. Buyers who mostly fish offshore usually end up in the S 288 center console; buyers who want more room for a weekend aboard look at the bigger dual consoles in the line.
