Sell your boat

What's your boat worth?

Three short steps and Joe comes back with a real number — usually the same day. Still owe money on it? That is normal, and we settle it with your lender before the sale.

Start — it takes two minutes →

Three ways out

Pick the one that suits you

They pay differently and they take different amounts of time. There is no wrong answer — tell us about the boat and we will tell you honestly which one we would take.

💵 A cash offer

Fastest. We buy the boat outright and you walk away with a cheque. No listing, no showings, no waiting on a buyer.

Best when you want it done this week.

How a cash offer works →

🔄 A trade value

Usually worth the most of the quick options. Your boat comes off the price of the next one and counts toward the down payment. Payoff, title and registration all happen at one desk on one day.

Best when there is a new boat in the picture.

🤝 Brokerage

Usually the highest number. We sell it on your behalf for a commission — photographed, listed, shown and handled here. It takes longer because we are waiting for the right buyer.

Best when you have time and want top dollar.

Tell us about the boat

Three steps, two minutes

Nothing here commits you to anything. The more you can tell us, the closer the first number will be.

1. The boat
2. Condition and where it is

Is there a loan or a lien on it?

This is normal and it is not a problem — most trades have one. We get the payoff figure from your lender, settle it out of the sale and handle the lien release. You do not have to pay it off first.

3. What you'd like to do

Pick one. If you're torn between two, pick either and say so in the notes — Joe will tell you which he'd take.

💵 I'd like a cash offer

You want it sold and gone. We buy it outright.

🔄 I want a trade value

There's another boat in the picture. It comes off the price of that one.

🤝 I want to broker my boat

You've got time and you want the highest number. We sell it for you.

A name and one way to reach you is all we need. No obligation, and we don't pass your details to anybody.

The questions everybody asks

Loans, liens and paperwork

I still owe money on my boat — can I still sell or trade it?

Yes, and it's one of the most common situations we handle. You do not need to pay the loan off first, and you do not need to chase the bank yourself.

We contact your lender for a payoff figure, settle the loan directly with them out of the sale, and handle the lien release and title paperwork ourselves.

If the boat is worth more than you owe, the difference comes to you. If it's worth less, we tell you exactly what the shortfall is before anything is agreed — you will never find that out at the signing table.

What's the difference between a cash offer, a trade and brokerage?

Cash is fastest — we buy it outright and you walk away with a cheque. Trade usually returns more than cash, because your boat comes off the price of the next one and it's all part of one deal. Brokerage typically gets the highest number but takes longest, because we're waiting for the right buyer.

How long does it take to get a number?

Usually the same day. We work from the year, make, model, hours and condition to give you a realistic range, then confirm it once we've seen the boat.

Do I have to bring the boat in?

No. We can give you a realistic range from the details and some photographs. We only need to see it before the number is firm — and if it's in the water on Delmarva, we'll usually come to it.

Do you only take the brands you sell?

No. We buy, trade and broker most makes. We're a Cobia, Pursuit, Pathfinder and Cobalt dealer, but the boat you're selling doesn't have to be one of those.

What paperwork do I have to do?

Very little. We handle the title transfer, the lien release if there's a loan, and the registration side. You sign what we put in front of you and we file the rest.

Still not sure? Call Joe on (302) 436-1737 and just describe the boat — that works too.
