Shooting on the water
Boat walkthroughs, sea trials, delivery days, the yard in winter, tournaments in summer. Some of it is planned and some of it is grabbing the camera because the light is right and a 32-footer is about to splash.
Now hiring · part time
This is the boat you'd have been filming that morning. We sell and service boats on the Delmarva coast and we are not short of things worth pointing a camera at — we are short of somebody to point it.
The short version
Part time, based at our shop in Selbyville. You would run our social media end to end: decide what we post, shoot it, cut it, write it, and be on camera yourself when the piece calls for a face. All the equipment is here — cameras, audio, lighting, editing. Bring the eye and the willingness to be on screen; we have the gear and the boats.
To be plain about the on-camera part: a good half of this job is being the person walking a viewer through a boat — hosting a walkthrough, doing the talking, showing up on screen regularly. If that part sounds like the fun bit, read on. If it sounds like the price of admission, this probably isn't the one.
The work
Boat walkthroughs, sea trials, delivery days, the yard in winter, tournaments in summer. Some of it is planned and some of it is grabbing the camera because the light is right and a 32-footer is about to splash.
Short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, plus the stills that go with it. Captions in our voice — plain, useful, no marketing fog. You own the calendar and what goes out when.
Hosting walkthroughs, talking through a boat's layout, introducing the people who work here. Comfortable and natural matters far more than polished.
Twenty-three years, four brands, five Yamaha-certified technicians, a family that still works here. Plenty nobody outside the building has heard, and most of it is more interesting than another price post.
Reading what actually landed and doing more of it. We would rather you chased what people watched than what looked good in a plan.
Comments and messages get replies. Somebody asking "how much?" under a boat video is a customer, and answering inside the hour is most of the job's value.
You
Boating knowledge is not required. We can teach you a boat. We cannot teach you an eye.

How to apply
No cover letter needed. Email Zak with a link to work you are proud of — a reel, a TikTok, a YouTube channel, anything that shows how you shoot and cut. Tell us in a line or two why this one interests you, and whether you have been on camera before.
Rather do it the old way? Email zsmith@rt113boatsales.net or call the shop on (302) 436-1737 and ask for Zak. We read everything that comes in and we will come back to you either way.
