Winterization
Winterize it right, once
Yamaha-certified winterization, shrink wrap, blocking and winter storage in Selbyville — with real prices below and real dates online. Four boats a day, no more, so a date you book is a date the yard can keep.
Engines first
Yamaha outboard winterization
Oil change included, priced per engine, done by a Yamaha Pro Elite shop — five certified technicians, one of them a Master Tech. Labor prices below; parts and fluids are extra where it says so, and every engine gets the unbilled shop supplies (grease, anti-corrosion spray, fogging oil, winterization gas).

2.5 hours labor — four-stroke outboards
225hp to 350hp

While the engine's on the bench is the cheapest time to do what Yamaha says is due — see Yamaha's recommended maintenance intervals, what happens at each one, and tick the ones you want on the booking form.
The rest of the boat
Systems winterization
Water systems
Antifreeze through every line. $137.50 to 23 ft · $392.50 24–30 ft · $510.00 31–35 ft, antifreeze included at each tier; extra antifreeze $10 a gallon.
Generator (Fischer Panda)
$1,170.00 + parts & fluids. Oil and impeller change, fuel filter, sea strainer cleaned and serviced, antifreeze run through, battery charged and disconnected.
Hot water heater
$390.00. Drained, refilled with antifreeze, and antifreeze pumped to every hot spigot on the boat. Antifreeze billed by the gallon.
Seakeeper
$780.00. Raw water drained, anodes replaced where applicable, antifreeze pumped through, corrosion points sprayed, battery disconnected.
Air conditioning
$780.00. Antifreeze run through the cooling circuit on 110 power, then the pick-up side re-plumbed and the through-hull closed for the winter.
While it's here
Yamaha's recommended maintenance intervals can ride along on the same visit — doing them now saves the boat a second trip in spring.
Holding tanks: the waste tank must be pumped out or empty before the boat comes in — otherwise a $975.00 fee covers transporting the boat to a pump-out and back.
Through the winter
Shrink wrap, blocking & storage
Shrink wrap
$27.00/ft to 26 ft · $30.00/ft 27–35 ft. Every wrap includes 4 stay-dry packs, 3 mould preventers and 3 vents — and cuts your storage rate in half.
Winter storage
$50.00/ft, or $25.00/ft with shrink wrap. Covers drop-off through spring commissioning. Boats still in the yard on 1 July may be charged additional storage.
Blocking
$15.00/ft — required if the boat has no trailer. Lifted on our forklifts and set on blocks and jack stands for the winter.
Bottom powerwash
$10.00/ft — required on bottom-painted boats. Lifted, washed, and rust stain remover worked along the waterline.
We'll come and get it
Our own trucks and trailers run the whole coast. Meet us at a ramp — Fenwick Island, Ocean City, Ocean Pines, Bethany, Ocean View, Dewey, Long Neck or Lewes — or we'll collect the boat from your home or marina, keys and gate code arranged on the form. No trailer? Blocking is added automatically so nothing sits on the ground.
Straight answers
Winterization questions we get every fall
When should I book?
Early — the calendar fills from September. The yard takes four boats a day, no more, and the online form only offers dates genuinely left. A full date is gone.
What does engine winterization cost?
Per engine, labor: $487.50 for Yamaha four-strokes 200hp and under, $585.00 for 225–350hp, $780.00 for V8s — oil change included, parts and fluids extra.
Do I have to trailer it to you?
No. We meet you at ramps from Lewes to the Ocean City commercial harbor, or collect the boat from your home or slip with our own trucks and trailers.
Is storage cheaper with wrap?
Yes — wrapped boats store at $25.00 a foot instead of $50.00, so on most boats the wrap pays for a good part of itself.
What about my generator, Seakeeper or AC?
Each has its own winterization service — tick what's on the boat when you book and each system gets done to its maker's procedure, priced above.
Can maintenance happen at the same time?
Yes, and it should — Yamaha's service intervals can ride on the same visit, which saves a spring trip. The booking form lists all seven.
